Counseling Program – BIPP

The Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) offers intensive group counseling to perpetrators of domestic abuse. This is a minimum 24-week program that is designed to hold batterers accountable for their abusive behavior. Through the use of a structured curriculum that covers themes ranging from Defining Violence and Equality, to Respect, Support and Trust, counselors help perpetrators identify and examine belief systems that form the core for abusive behavior. For more information about this program, please contact the BIPP Director, Bridget Vinson-O’Neal at 972-422-2911 ext. 216. Groups are available now in Spanish.

Individuals may contact Bridget Vinson-O’Neal to set up an appointment for a one time orientation. The orientation is offered the 1st or the 3rd Thursday of each month and begins at 4:00 p.m. (However, you must be there at 3:30 p.m. for paperwork). The cost of the orientation is $50.00.

Group sessions are held at different times throughout the week and individuals may only attend one group a week. The group session costs $30.00 for each group each week. Individuals must attend the whole 24 week program if you are planning to attend at all. Cash and money orders are the accepted form of payment.
